Program Requirements
The system requirements of PlatinCnc depend strongly on the resolution and size of the imported images and on the settings you choose for generating milling paths. Calculation times lie in a range between some seconds and several minutes.
The maximum size of input images is usually determined by the amount of RAM and calculation power. On an actual (2004) PC with several GHz processor clock it is no problem to process images with 100(!) megapixels and more in very few minutes.
Software requirements
- Windows 98, ME, NT4 (SP4), 2000, XP or later
- Internet Explorer 5 or higher (mainly for displaying the documentation)
Recommended hardware to process >20 megapixel-images
- Pentium-II class machine or higher
- 128 MB RAM or more
- Hi-color or True color display, resolution 1024x768 or more
- Pointing device (mouse)
It's not easy to define minimal system requirements, the best way to evaluate if PlatinCnc runs suitable on your machine for your intended tasks is to download the demo version and to give it a try.
